Conversation corner returns on thursday with fika and oppurtunity for pleasant socializing!

It is a gathering for everyone interested in East Asian language and culture. Come and learn obscure characters, play games, and just generally hang out and have a good time with new and old friends. Fika will also be available with proper sanitary measures taken

Keep some distance.
Think of hygiene, wash your hands
Try to avoid crowding.

After a long period of isolation East Asian Association is finally able to announce the return of conversation corner, with the premiere being held in S26 in the C-building!

1. CC is temporarily suspended

Conversation Corner is suspended

Given that participation in the Discord-hosted Conversation Corners has been very low, the board has decided to suspend Conversation Corner for the rest of the term.

That being said, the server will still be up so those of you who are interested will still be able to hang out as you have been doing the last few weeks. The primary differences from now on will be that we will now longer send reminders about CC via Facebook or our newsletter.

You can always type “@here” followed by your message in the Discord server to message everyone who is currently logged in, if you would like to talk and there is currently no one in the voice channels.

Conversation Corner (online)

Hello!

We are changing the CC times again to address some issues with the current times.

Firstly, due to how late the Thursday CC has been, many of our members in Asia have not been able to participate. Secondly, since many people have plans on the weekend, the Saturday CC can also be inconvenient for people.

Therefore, we will try to host CC the same time on both Saturdays and Sundays, so that hopefully everyone who wants to can participate during at least one of these times.
